Please Read Before Applying to a Journey Group
In order to participate in a Journey group one must first commit to being at all meetings. Commit to being on time, completing the chapter work, and listening to an audio weekly is also involved. Outside of group time, this commitment looks like 2 to 3 hours per week of: (reading, listening to the teachings for that week, and completing assignments and questions in the chapter)
The “Journey” is composed of a small group of people who are committed to completing the “Journey” curriculum, which is designed to look at your story, look at damage done to you in your story, look at ways you then have damaged others, and God’s redemption.
The “Journey” is a healing journey………..an experience where you can explore your story and find your heart………with a community of fellow travelers……people seeking to be real, to dream, to come alive………in an environment of grace, truth, and affirmation, in a safe place to look at the past and discover a future……….and in a fresh relationship with the Wounded Healer…….a God who knows, cares and is intimately involved.
At the bottom of this page please read each of the listed resources: Journey Session Guide, Grace Groups Are About..., and Definitions of Wounds & Abuse. We all have a story…….in order to do the Journey Group you don’t have to necessarily have sexual abuse……..that is one of the damages addressed but please read through the attached list of wounds and underline all that has or does apply to you. Satan has inflicted damage on all of us in many different forms and ways. Your story will reveal that and is important no matter what it entails.
The Journey is a great opportunity for you to connect to yourself, others, and God. Thank you for giving yourself the time to do that, you are worth it!
